I had to show that my rapidly growing business could support a bigger mortgage and find a lender who would allow us an interest-only loan, with deposit money coming from the sale of two properties and some other factors that meant we were not a standard case.
But it was worth it - We love the peace and space we have now!
We have finally moved to our 'forever house' on a 4.5 acre plot, where we spend a lot of our time outside with our small herd of alpacas.
